Mountain American FCU

The Challenge

Mountain America Credit Union (MACU) wanted to increase brand awareness for their ATM machines, and also create cross-selling opportunities in their drive-up banking environments. They had discovered that many of their members were primarily using the drive-through for their banking needs. MACU enlisted Sterling Retail to create a merchandising strategy in order to make the most impact during their members’ transactions at the drive-thru.

The Process
Focusing on the drive-through area, Sterling surveyed several MACU branches to determine areas where both branding and messaging were absent and could best serve credit union members. We carefully considered traffic flow and average time spent at each visit to create a retail merchandising package that met the needs and objectives of MACU.

The Result

The final result was a full drive-through area package that included banner stands, VAT tube wraps, window banding, VAT tube frames and branded ATM enclosures. Together with our ATM division, Sterling ATM, we designed complementary enclosures for the drive-up ATM machines that implemented MACU’s color-scheme and coordinated with the retail elements. Our team managed the entire project, from survey through development and installation to ensure optimal product placement. Now, members receive important banking information in large-scale format with branding that is consistent with MACU’s current ATM designs. View a downloadable pdf of this case study.
